I went to play around with the preload and didn't know till now that it was set to the softest setting. I did get my bov used. I always had the problem of the valve opening prematurely when I let off the gas slightly. Very annoying. I tightened the preload all the way and it fixed this problem but now it flutters even worse. I set it to the middle and now its the best between both worlds. I daily drive my car on normal suburban streets so now its very nice to drive without the bov letting off unexpectedly. When I'm in 5th gear and am on the gas slightly and hit about 10psi and let off it does flutter a bit but its livable and better than when in was in the soft setting. Note this is with port C and B hooked up. I might try ports A and A+B again with the new preload to see if it helps the flutter. For now B is doing pretty good with the preload in the middle. I'm assuming this is how it comes new.

Sorry about bringing this thread back from the dead. I installed my synchronic bov with A+B connected and I get the flutter exaclty like ^^^ this guy was talking about. When ever I was on just A or B it sounded like a sequential type bov under partial boost. WOT it sounded very crisp like stock. I'm not sure if there is an issue with just mine or how my setup is. Can you guys shed some light on this?

Cool, I played with the spring preload and switched to port A only. For the most part the problem is gone. Get a little flutter under partial boost not wot or conservative driving. Thanks alot guys.

I found an explanation to why partial throttle acceleration caused some fluttering/bucking. GM 3 port! The boost pulses very fast and the underside of the pulse causes thesuper fast actuating bov to vent. I am using only port A and the preset screw back out pretty far. I say 9/10 the prob is fixed. Port A is the best set up for this type of boost solonoid.

To be honest the synapse synchronic was engineered too well. The slightest lift off in 5th causes the car to flutter a little bit. I say this is a healthy compromise than to deal with a leaky stock bov. Love this part and recommend to everone. Cheers nuggas

I've been adjusting the pipe from a T to a Y thinking it would help, it sort of did but under full boost it seems to dip in and out of pressure marginally. any ideas?

also will you be posting a video on youtube of how to delete the Port C boost pipe?

This is a BOV has port c correct?

To solve this issue i would recommend the Port C Delete for your BOV. I currently run a gm 3 port on my evo with no issues.

You can just send it in to Synapse and they will modify it for you.
