Bad Gas QA?
So you go to tune your car, the strap on the dyno, the tuner starts working his magic and the car doesnt respond well to the tunning when adding fuel or adding timing. Boost leak and compression check all checkout, car mechanically is fine.
So we all figure its bad gas in the car, how do you go about cleaning out the bad gas in the car?
Ive heard all sorts of things like:
"Drain out all the gas in the car by taking out the little screw under the gas tank, add a tank or two of race gas aka 100 or 104 oct, to clean all your fuel system, then drain again then go back to 93 octane."
"Drain out the bad gas, and just add a fresh batch of 93 octane"
Which do u TUNERS/SHOP Owners recommend? And explain the chemistry of it, to the best of your ability

No, that shouldn't be the case. You can try filling with another name brand fuel, but the chances that you obtained bad gas from a Chevron retailer are much smaller than from a no-name discounter.
bad gas can cause a range of problems. Most noticable is a spudder when you get into boost.. easy way to remove bad gas is remove the ret. line from the fuel rail, attach hose, run hose into a fuel jug and let car idle draining the tank. If it is water in fuel..which all fuel does have adding higher oct. fuel will help but will still effect the burn.
