i would get a better rod than the Eagle if i were you.

Something like a crower rod with a Wiseco HD or JE pro series

Shoot me a PM if you need some help

I have the Wiseco HD and have used them twice now(once in old dsm and now in evo). They are great pistons but for 500whp you would be fine with the std wiseco piston. Would not recommend eagle rods. Ive used Manley I beams with both of my builds. great rod.

i have seen eagle rods make 800 whp in a dsm and run 9.0 and I can say I use them all the time and have yet to have one fail.

Ive had eagle rods and regular ol wiseco pistons in my talon for over 4 years now.. It gets 8500RPM on the regular and has seen 9K quit a few times.. About a 550WHP level every day for 4 years now... no rod failure yet. I don't think the eagles are the best made rod ever built but i certainly dont think there junk either andc will do the job. I have Oliver rods with AMS spec Ross pistons in my EVO BUT the evo spins more RPM and makes considerably more power...

I've had both sets up pistons. Never had a problem with either one. I have some used AMS pistons if your interested from my old stroker setup

not saying Eagles are junk, but i wouldn't have much security with them in running 550whp+ on the constant. Turbo tuffs, crower seem to be a better choice for that power range. Just look at the top shops out there and see how many run Eagles... Not very many. GL
