Go 2.2 or 2.3?
Not sure if you got the 2.2 or not. I would say Keep the 2.4, dump as fast as you can the ATP kit and replace with a MAP ported exh. manifold and BBK Full or FP Red. Those will give you insane response and very nice torque curves. I love my BBK on my 2.3. You will get a little more rpm out of the 2.2 but you are looking for response so 2.4 and the above turbos will knock your hair back.
I know the 2.4 has good respone. But it can't rev high (as well as 2.3).. My rev cut for this kit is at 7.5k for safer and better durabilty. Now I have decided to go 2.2, so I wan the best out of it. Any pro's n con's between BBK n HKS gt3037 with 2.2l? If you guys were me, what will you choose between this 2?
You will get more with less from the BBK. You need to run less boost to make the power. 29-30 psi is what CBRD designed it for. That is its max efficiency area. I run mine at 23-24 psi and it pulls hard on my 2.3.. A very nice factor in using a stock style setup is the cost. HKS is WAY overpriced for what you get. Yes I love the product too. I had plenty of HKS stuff on my RX-7. Remember HKS turbos are just Garrett cores branded HKS. Now you aked The 3076 will give you and edge up top on long straights but the BBK will be superior in the corners and the exits. You will get better response from the BBK over the 3076. on my 2.3 I make peak torque @ 5000 ft. as fast as my friends 9 rs at sea level.
Remember the BBK is getting a makeover, which is going to make more power than the current Full version.

What I understand is that with 2.2, BBK will spool fast but lost it power at ard 7k -7.2k rpm. while 3037 will spool (200 - 300rpm laggier) but still strong even at 7.5k rpm. At the end, both HP n TQ will be ard the same just that the dyno curves will be diff. Am I right about it? That's y I am confuse which to get.
yup thats about right but I still make power @ 7k rpm on my BBK. Your power delivery will be more predictable and linear with the BBK you will be able to modulate it where the 3076 will lag lag lag then bam..now its not as bad as a 35R but not a smooth as the BBK would be. Getting good corner exit speed is king. 500 rpm can be a life time on the track. Price is also much easier on the pocket book. You can also consider the FP RED. About same or more ( I believe might be wrong) top end and faster spool than the 3076 but not as quick as the BBK.
You asked for opinions and you will get a lot of them. Some don't read that you want a good street driver and something good on the track. I get what you are looking for, I have set my car up that way...response with a good power band.
I will give you my idea of a real fun car going with what you have in mind.
2.2, kansai manifold, ported stock manifold (modern auto preformance) or the Tomie stock replacement one. tomie O2 housing or MAP one. BBK full/( BBK-B when its out)or FP Red. ETS 3.5 inch FMIC and piping (short rout).
Not sure how nuts you want to go but if I had the cash this also..
Robispec clubsports, alcon 6 puck up front, TRE transfer case, shep or TRE tranny, TRE rear diff upgrade, HKS Kansai rear pinion gear set..drops it to 4.11 or so..you will get a few more MPH or KPH per gear. A good racing seat ( I have fallen asleep in the buddy club one), at least a 4 pt harness and harness bar or bolt in rear cage. top it off with a good set of 17x9 or 17x9.5 light weight wheels and a good set of tires like toyo R888's you will have a beast.
