Magnus Engine Build
I have spoken to Marco on the phone a while back, don't know if he even remembers, but he was VERY helpful, funny as **** and provided me some good technical information... I purchased his V5 intake manifold shortly afterwards, great performing product, and find Marco to be straight up no b.s. guy - much like myself...
I've never met or spoken to crcain, but from reading his post and his 'I'm always right attitude' on the forum even when he's dead wrong is enough for me to side 100% with Marco on this issue...

So you believe in Internet "attitude" versus the reality of a situation? My god I got to go cleanup. Tired from 18 holes. Yes sure guys, I called Marco everyday long distance to Canada just for fun. That's Marco side of the story. Give me a ****ing break... why do I bother with EvoM.

Also, if you don't like EVOm, why are you on here every day...
Just gave a recap of this thread to my girlfriend here at home... I got a bit animated
I should have video taped it and put it on youtube so you could see what honest sentiment looks like.
Believe what you like guys. I know anyone with a half brain can see what happened here. Only people who think bluffin and flaking is par for the course would possibly side with Marco.

As you can tell I'm frustrated!

Let me just ask a simple question.. why would I wait 3 years to write my story? I even tried unsucessfully, in the beginning of this very thread, to simply ask posters to only write if they had direct experience with Magnus. No luck. I absolutely, 100%, did not want this drama, but my conscious finally overrided my reason.
Took me 3 years, but I finally gave in and sacrificed inviting this drama, to help other people make an informed decision.
Some people take offense to my attitude over the years... well I'll admit, I'm more here to learn and question than to make friends. It has nothing to do with Magnus though because I was so patient and understanding with them it's sad.. it makes me the sucker, but if you want to believe I was some sort of war dialing mad man, ok whatever. You obviously have not put 2 and 2 together in this thread.

Oh, and I just recalled another of the distortions Marco wrote. That I am some sort of chronicly unsatisfied customer. Well hmm, ok Marco, which shops think I am so bad? I've dealt with many vendors, I'll be happy to name everyone of them, and let's see who chimes in and says I am a bad customer, mmm k?
AMS, Buschur, Norris Designs, MADevelopments, etc...

Dont call for Dave for Dave of all People.. I could dig up 100's of threads where you terrorized him as well.. Your a nuisance.. You think cause you helped him with that VIPEC stuff hes going to defend you..

Mike
Well if i payed 13K+ for a crate motor I would hope to god i get top notch treatment.....most people won't even spend that on there whole build.....
Not takin sides as we can all see there are 2 sides to every story

Second of all, what is comical about all you idiots taking Magnus side, is that it is if you haven't read this thread, and don't point to any of THE FACTS. Yes you may not like me, but what does that have to do with this thread? I guess Mike you agree with how Magnus operated. Well what does that say about you as a vendor?
Do a search on threads I've started since 2002. Everyone is technical.
Here is just one example of a thread I started, which many people considered "drama"... the tile is:
"Is there a video of an Evo with the launching aide... launching?"
Everyone thought it was "drama" and I was "stirring the pot". Well guess ****en what? The device was a joke and DID NOT WORK.
*******, I guess everyone with a brain is off EvoM on a Saturday night.
5/16's is probably half of what the breather should be for any reading thinking that was enough. Its approx 8mm, I run -10 (which is 5/8") and somewhere between 15 and 16mm. This by itself is about adequate at 550whp. Our drag car runs 2 of these to a gallon (yes 1 imp gallon, 3.78 liter) catchcan and still that is barely enough.
I seem to see that there is a serious comprehension problem going on. If I say something is black and white it seems to get dissected into how many shades of gray it can be. I am not picking on you Brandon, but if I had heard 120*C once, I would hang up the phone and stop talking to you. Warranty void, nothing left to say after that.
I would like to thank you for introducing me to Mark Shead and his concepts of tuning though. I would not be where I am from the standpoint of how I tune if it were not for that.

Wow!
I don't have much to say but probably will. We use the same heat tabs on our heads and blocks that Marco mentioned. If one is missing, "warranty" void.
The only part of the entire story that wasn't disputed was the length of time for the build and the only consistent part. Nine months, a year is long enough to build a complete turn key car and since both sides seem to agree on atleast that.........I'd be pissed too. The rest of it all is one guy saying one thing and another saying something else and I have no desire to get in that.
I will say CRCAIN has been a PITA to me more than once on the forums. A complete PITA, I can't figure him out, I don't know if he does it to just start problems or trying to keep it real. Many times while his points are annoying to me they do raise good questions and I've learned to put up with it. haha
On a seperate side of CRCAIN, he's bought parts from us, transactions went down perfectly, no problems at all from him from a business stand point. He also did me a favor putting me in contact with Ray Hall and getting a Vi-PEC in my hands, which I am grateful for.
One more thing, I knew I'd get on a roll. My RS ran 9.0 with the factory PCV valve and hose hooked to the intake, the factory vent tube in the valve cover, I never had any problems with the car like that. I know have the PCV as a straight vent and the stock vent on the end of the valve cover going into our fabricated catch can. Our can also vents through the dipstick and has a 1/2" single port on top with a fairly large KN breather.
That's all I have to say.
