If you mount the Hallman as close as you can to the middle portion of the radiator the boost spikes will lessen. I get about a 1 psi variance with my stock IX turbo.

I've also noticed that porting the hotside and O2 housing helped it too.

I've had my Hallman for over 4 years now and have only had to change the rubber washers last year for maintenance.

I think I might try Hallman first, It's cheaper. If I'm not happy, i will then upgrade to ebc.

If you have a good tuner I would get a GrimmSpeed EBCS. You will make boost faster and hold more boost to redline. I'm hit full boost 700rpm earlier then using my Blitz EBC. I also hold more boost at redline. I hit 28psi and hold 27psi at 7800rpm. GrimmSpeed and Tactrix is the best you can get. They both offer plug and play to stock ECU and a good tuner can work wonders with these things.
