Please post your settings for the Greddy Profec B spec II

I had been trying to set my Greddy Profec B spec II, and it is all over the place, I read the threat on How To Tune Your Greddy Profec B spec II , but could you post your settings so I can have a base or to compare.

Thanks,

Here are my mods so far :

K&N Typhoon air filter
Greddy Profec B spec II
Greddy Type S BOV
Greddy Turbo TImer...

Everything else is stock... cat, cat-back ... everything...

Here is the situation, after playing and setting the profec B boost controller to an aceptable level, my car still spikes boost to like 22-to-24 psi and then drops to 10-to-12 psi.. Do I have a boost leak, I don't know ?? I checked all the hoses and re-tigh the clamps. When I'm aceleration I can hear the car boosting and suddenly the boost drops to 12psi till sattling at around 10psi...
So I want to know if any one here had experience that problem and how to solve it.

One other thing, before installing anything to the car I dynoed (to have a baseline) and I was only able to get 187-AWHP.. sad I know, and I still don't know what's wrong with my car..

Please help..!!!

What settings are you currently using? Post them up and I may be able to give you some recommendations.

set %... 48%

here's the hi settings :

Gain : 30%

Dude... I'll post my settings tomorrow (have to look at them tonight!). I have it set to run steady right around 20 psi. I know that my gain is set around 44% and I move it up or down if it's really cold/warm outside... If I want it low, I just turn it off and it holds around 12.5-13psi...

Turn your GAIN down to 5% and start with your SET at 30-35%. See if that helps. Then slowly raise your boost by changing the SET 1-2% at a time. Keeping your GAIN that high can cause severe boost fluctuations. I'm not sure of exactly where my GAIN is, but I know it is lower than 10%. Also, my GAIN is the same on both my high and low modes, the only difference is that my SET is about 10 or 12% higher on the high mode.

Also, your warning is the PSI at which the boost controller lowers the SET value, and the warn limit is the percentage it lowers it. so you want to set your warning for the amount you don't want to go over, and if it goes over that pressure, it will lower your set by the value you entered in warn limit. With your low setting, every time you go over 15 psi, it lowers your SET value from 48% to 32%. I keep my limiter at 4%.

Sorry, It didn't work... I'm starting to get into the conclusion that, the boost controller selenoid is bad or the wastegate is going bad. Will test the boost selenoid on Tuesday to see is there is anything wrong with it.

Thanks,

On your solenoid, did you remove the plug from the third hole? If not, that could be the cause of your problems. Several people have had problems with inconsistent boost due to that plug remaining in the solenoid.

Sorry I took so long... I took a look at my settings... my gain is 8% and my set I move between 43% and 46% depending on the weather. This holds perfectly at 20.5 psi. Those gain #'s you listed are definitely too high, when you boost does the engine/turbo sound like it's going in waves? Like mini power surges? That will happen if the gain's too high...
