Starting off...

so i am not new to the evo community but i am new to actually using the forum for alot of info. i have a 06 gg mr se package with 13k miles. everything is stock. i just got a perrin intake, hks hi power exhaust and dc downpipe. mbc and in the process of getting a fuel pump. i have heard from my tuner i should achieve 350 hp. i have been thinking alot and i would like to achieve 400hp safetly. what suggestions do you people have on achieving my goal safetly. i do not want to half a** anything. any input would be great. i am not trying to be outrageous saying i want a 600whp car i just want a 400hp safe car that i can drive on the weekends and on nice days. also this is not my daily driver. thanks.

Fuel pump with stock Injectors? With your stock 540's (i believe) you should be good for 400hp so no need to upgrade that. Is it an MR or an SE ? Not that it matter just curious as you said MR with an SE package.....

As for mods there are a couple ways you can go about it. Slap a meth kit, an aftermarket IC (a Buschur or something) with a tune, that may be all that’s needed. You already have the MBC, so with a good tune 400hp (crank) is not hard to get. 400whp you might need some extra goodies...then again with a good tuner maybe not....

There are also a bunch of threads on this topic.

You should be able to get that on the stock 9 turbo but will take some work. Meth is the easy route, the harder includes cams, some porting of the exhaust manifold, and some intercooler piping with possibly an intercooler.

Stock injectors are 560cc and are good at 80% duty cycle up until about 370-380 HP if I'm not mistaken.

yea but how hard is that stock 9 turbo working, and how does a dyno graph of the power delivery look? i can imagine it peaking off pretty early working so hard

i would imagine the same thats why i would rather not do that, this guy was selling his evo when i was looking for cars and he had it at 30psi on stock turbo with meth and it was so fast but it just didnt seem that it would last like that.

you'll need...

bolt on's + e85 (which is sparse in nj)

bolt on's + cams + very aggressive tune +93 octane

bolt on's + meth + 93 octane

there are plenty of 400 whp threads on here

please search...try the dyno tuning and results section
