Question about Stock BOV location

Yesterday I was installing a new FMIC, all pipes (short route UICP) and turbo intake pipe.

I never really realized how close the stock BOV is to the exhuast manifold. I'm sure if mitsu put it there, it should be ok, but I would like to move it a bit farther away. Have any of you guys done this with a stock BOV? What is needed to relocated it? any pics?

thanks

Some people put it on the UICP instead of the intake pipe, but I've found it to flutter less mounted on the intake pipe. If you have an ex mani heatshield there is nothing to worry about...especially if you mani is ceramic coated too.

Yup mani is coated and heatsheild is on. Still gets extremely hot in that area. I just figured that the diaphragm inside might get damamged due to the heat.
