GSC S2 cams who is using stock springs?

If I wanted to install my cams I just got and run them with my stock springs for now will the lift be too much for stock or do people still run them? Mind you im only on a stock 8 turbo with a 10.5 hotside, and even with meth injection probably not gonna rev anywhere past 7800 probably. I bought springs to but I wanted to wait till I take my head off and do the headgasket so the machine shop can do it for me? Any opinions??? Thanks guys

Not good. Its not just revs that kill springs, its duration and lift at any given RPM that start it down the road of no bueno.

yeah i was wondering if the duration was gonna kill it. GSC sites says as long as I stay within stock rev limit I should be fine though so I was just getting some feedback from peeps

will the gsc beehives or fp beehives for around the $220 mark be good enough for the average dd or do you need to go to dual springs ti retainers etc?

When i was gonna run the S2s on my evo9 i spoke with GSC cause i was in the same position.. i wanted to keep stock springs and retainers.. they highly recommended i do not do this.. and to be honest with you its not worth trying
i ended going with a different cam for that reason.. if your gonna run em do what the company that makes em recommends! Get the beehives and be done with it!

Yeah it like doubles the cost of the upgrade not to mention if you have to pay someone to do the install for you.

I have the springs to. I guess I'll just take my head off and do my head gasket while I have the springs put in at the machine shop. I didn't want to but at least it gets it out of the way now before spring

I'm running S2 cams with GSC beehive springs, at the track I take it to 8k and have had no problems.
