I voiced my opinion, you guys do what you like with it. Rather than me taking another 30 day ban to try to help I'm going to unsubscribe from this thread and not return.

Good luck with your choices.

Considering one of the guys from FP said it was one of the best options for the Black, I wouldn't call it underperforming.

Just to clear that up, Scott and Robert don't use recirc housings just to let you know. They use 38mm wastegates Like I said before. External dump is the only way to go. Scott and Robert do more testing on the Red and Black than anyone. If they say go external they mean go external. That is why I went the way I did, because of Robert.

Most people aren't willing to shell out that kind of money for an o2/dp combo unless certain vendors are pushing it.

Not sure if you saw my post above yours or not... But yes you are correct. They are very expensive and most people don't want to spend the money. I would almost push that it is mandatory for a Black to make much more than 600hp.

Maybe I'm mistaken, but I thought GrocMax was an FP employee as well. I remember him being the one that made the statement about works. I haven't been swayed enough to switch from my standard o2 housing yet, but I'm always reading up on new setups to see what I believe works best.

You know.... we still haven't seen an O2 housing before and after same boost dyno.

Even BR with is mega machine barely recored a gain and that was with additional boost.

Most people would see similar returns by cleaning up the stock unit with a dremmel or die grinder.

Hell they could even port match the exhaust manifold afterwards.

I know Buschur once offered a ported/coated stocker but switched to the Megan as per their test it flowed better or offered better gains. Atleast I'm sure that's what I read here. Looked on their website and looks like it's still offered: https://secure.buschurracing.com/cat...products_id=76

As I do fabrication and have made a few o2 housings for Evo's and did a TON of them for the SRT-4... I personally think the Shearer Fab one is the best. Great flanges, TRUE 3" v-band, quality welds, and a great AMERICAN company.

The external dumps DO make more power than a recirc, but they're annoying as all hell. One thing you have to remember when testing the recirc's on the dyno is that if you don't have good ventilation and a strong fan you'll be doing some external EGR that will kill power.

Shearer Fab.

I honestly think 02 dumps are the way to go only if you have a good product. Currently the Shearer 3" 02 dump is the only 02 dump on the market that I would run/purchase for my car.

Just to clarify you guys are referring to the v-band housing that also requires modification or replacement of the downpipe correct?
