For those with forward facing turbos.

What filter are you guys using, I have the ETS mani and 4'' intercooler and there doesn't seem to be any room for a filter, we have come up with a quick fix of bending the bottom of the filter. This is a vibrant filter, we have tried HKS, KnN, and Injen, nothing comes close to fitting, all suggestions are welcome! Thanks!

I thought people just used tight weaved mesh with an o ring clamp.. seen it done on supra big turbo's and a few others. Screen from windows seems to work well.

i dont know if anything is going to work like that, looks like ETS"s manifold design sits way to low to fit a filter. buschur does offer a angled filter though, can give that a whirl..

This manifold is not designed for a filter, but we did come up with a mockup intake for this setup using a close to 90 degree bend with a long filter that fills the driver side opening.

Michael is this same style kit as mine?? I knot its t3/t4 flange but does it make it that closer to the support?
I fit a filter on mine with no problems

Michael do you have pics? Motion lab... it looks like your turbo sits further back in the engine bay. I would use mesh but really don't want to risk not having a filter. I was maybe thinking about getting a 45* 4'' hose and cut it where it clears the intercooler then putting a filter on that.

BTW, this is a very nice manifold, ets does great work and i have plenty of clearance for my front bumper. It really only needs to be tilted up like an inch as you can see in the pic.

What? Just because it's not designed for one doesn't mean there's not one that will work. I'm looking for suggestions so take your comments elsewhere.

That does not protect from dust created by the sand and gravel that is used on the roads in Colorado. It would be an option that he could use at the track though.

Dan - I like the looks of the Buschur Filter the best, I wished we knew they had that. I would call up Jarrod or Nick @ Buschurs and ask them if you could test fit it or mention this thread to them and see if they could look at the picture and give you a suggestion on if theirs would fit or not. Either that or I would like to see some pics of what ETS Michael has to offer.

i believe BR is the only company that offers a FF turbo kit that works with an air filter without having to mod or hack anything.
