Shifting gears/loud thump...

I know when U bang gears, the car makes all weird noises. Kinda grown used to it. However, it seems like the rear end of the car wants to get loose or something when I bang gears hard now. Does anyone know how the rear diff housing bolts onto the car? Does it use rubber mounts like how the engine is bolted in place, or is it bolted directly to the chassis, with rubber pieces between the body and rear? Any way I can maybe strenthen/tighten it up. Feels like on the shift, the thing moves, or tries to.

not sure it is related to your subject, but I hear a deep thump when I press on the clutch really fast. the werid thing is that the noise doesn't come immediately but about half a second later. I guess it has something to do with the restrictor thingy.
