When is light to light?
Everyone does weight reduction for drag racing but at some point it would seem you wouldnt catch traction even with slicks. Were talkin high hp cars only lol.
I'm not sure we've seen what "too light" is with the evo on a dragstrip, it's so heavy to begin with. I'd think you'd want it as light as possible, then adjust other parts to be able to get traction. For example, that's probably why some people sell drag spec coilovers, and use slicks, etc.
I see what you're asking...When is it going to be too light so that it's actually limiting our potential to get down the track faster? I really don't know, but I have never heard of anyone complaining about their drag car being too light. Usually the opposite.

Top fuel cars weigh 2200lbs and hook up 8000+hp. So I don't think you've got anything to worry about as long as the chassis setup and tires are advanced enough to not be a limiting factor.
