I just installed the super tech duals with my kelford 272's, I'd rather have overkill for down the line, becauase after doing the install on the springs myself, I do not want to do that again. The kelford's require upgraded springs, but not all 272's do, it depends on the cam. It's good peace of mind to upgrade the springs, seals, seats, and retainers while you are in there anyway.

Look at as insurance for your valve train.

Imagine yourself at the track running the motor at 7500 RPMs and then miss-shifting by accidentally downshifting. In this case, the stock springs might not have rebounded fast enough, bending a valve. But had you spent the money and upgraded your valve train, all you would have had to deal with is a moment of high pucker factor.

Not to mention, the springs and so on let you get the most of out the cam, provided the cam you're running can make power that far up in the top end.

Problem with overkill is not required stress on the valvetrain when application does not require it. For me GSC beehives. Beehive is a better design than equal width because it can use smaller lighter retainers. At least for a street car I take the beehives.

I've got a set of SPR-M1007D on the way, but without knowing what the stock springs are rated at, I have no idea if these are too aggressive for Kelford 272's or not.
