Acoustics. Open hood. 40 psi = that sound you want.

You may want to make your bov a little stiffer with more turns.

check to make sure connections on hoses are tight, you may have loosened a hose and have a leak. other than that i would suggest removing forge and physically checking by pushing on the valve with you fingers and see if its tight. you can compare it to you old dv. i know the valve on the forge dv i have was definately A LOT tighter even on 8.5 turns.

as for the sound, even with hood down after lifting off the throttle following boost i get a loud sharp shhhhhhhhhhhhhh. i have a k&n typhoon intake tho and that definately will make it louder compared to stock airbox. if anything its too loud for me personally but the important thing for me is that it functions as advertised and holds that bOOst!!

Mine sounds just like that...Oh wait that's my car. Seriously though there's a couple of reasons why my Forge RS is so loud.
1. 40psi is alot of air to vent, although its more like 33psi by the time the throttle is lifted.
2. My car is on speed density with zero intake restrictions other then a KnN filter on my intake pipe.

It was much quieter with the maf still in place.

yeah. i may have to double check on the hoses and piping. but if it doesnt work out i may go back to my stock one.

yeah and make sure you check/compare the firmness of the valve. if it is firmer than your old one then it may be another issue you'r having!
