wow thats so incorrect. No point in mini battery unless your putting alot of stuff in your engine bay. The injen system is perfect i have done alot of work on the system to get it running smooth mine is with a aps 3.5 intercooler. works like its suppose to.

I have to agree with Rockman on this one (only this one...). I have had the Injen complete set up on my VIII since 2005 and I love it.

Inconsistency on the product though. Some kits fit well. Others fit like a$$. I had a really bad fitting kit, and ended up tossing it.

I'd go with the Muse piping, you can get it at Map or vr-speed.

I had the short route muse piping on my car for a while with the small battery and eventually switch to the muse uicp that fits the normal battery.

The injen's lower intercooler pipe is a terrible design and has too many unnecessary bends whereas the muse is a 1 pc design without any welds and only a couple bends.

my evo had the injen i/c and intake setup when i bought it, fit like crap and leaked like it was going out of style. i dunno if the previous owner f-ed it up or what but i junked it. ive got a dejontool upper, a speed source lower, and the perrin intake kit. no leaks anymore and i love the dejontool pipe, and perrin intake.

well got it all installed and i like it. It took a bit of work to get it on, but i expected that. It fits well just kinda tight between the BOV and the intake pipe. Idk if it added any HP but it def seems like it gets outta the vacuum faster, lol the spool DOES seem faster. I will be going to Mellon in the next couple weeks to get my first tune. Thanks for the input.

Thumbs down

The Injen pipes fitted poorly on my EVO w/the Injen supplied couplers. I had to buy 1.75" hump coupler for the J-pipe. I also had to buy a 2.5" hump coupler to get the "A" and "B" pipes to fit together and not have a boost leak.

I've been running the Injen kit (upper, lower, intake) for over 3 years and never once had an issue. Fitment was great, and when I upgraded to the AMS intercooler, I had zero fitment issues. I check for boost leaks every month or so, and have never had a leak related to the Injen kit.
