I have used all of them. I'm now on AMSoil. Use AMSoil. Don't use that junk.

Of course you would say that since your a distributor...50k+ miles & running strong... Going to get rid of my 6 spd & swap to a 5 spd soon anyway...Oh yeah, I forgot to mention after I put the Amsoil in my 4th gear started to grind at high RPM shifts too... I will never use Amsoil again...

Gears were very knotchy feeling & my 4th gear started to grind shortly after having the Amsoil in there...Didn't have knotchy feeling with Royal Purple & don't have it with BG...never had any 4th gear grind with RP either...& the 4th gear grind @ high rpm shifts isn't nearly as bad with the BG as it was with the Amsoil...

I'm glad you think its not since I know it was...didn't have these issues before the Amsoil & I only have a slight 4th grind after switching to BG...I'm sure more people will post in here about not liking Amsoil gear oil...I can think of a half dozen off the top of my head...Not saying everyone has or will have a bad experience with Amsoil but I will never use it again...The OP wanted opinions so I gave him mine...

I will not sit here and argue about what oil anyone should use.

but i will say that during the past few years of using AMSOIL and selling here on Evom if i put together all the tranny fluid we have sold here it would sum up to over 700 quarts, with prolly 98% of those customers comming back and saying how much it improved their driveability.
Needless to say many shops also using these fluids on their customers car,,, look at my sig all those shops use them.

BG syncromesh is a great oil for syncros bottom line is that what is was designed for, designed for trannys like hondas cars that have 80 FWHP not 400+ like my evo 9 almost did and many other cars in here.

MT90 is a super great fluid for gears designed for that in mind, however not carying much friction modifiers used for syncro meshing.

regardless how well you may think those other fluids are doing well for you tranny they are decieving you,, because the BG is making you tranny feel super smooth in reality your gears is hating it,,, call John Shephard he will tell you what happens after running miles on BG,, he has measured many gears that ran BG and they were way out of spec,, why because BG IS NOT DESIGNED FOR GEARS, redline great on gears prolly better then AMSOIL but over time horible for syncros, you want a fluid that will give you best of both worlds, syncro meshing and gear lubricity.

dont want to sell you anything i can care less about selling 40 buck worth of fluid iam just trying to educate.

been doing this for a few years,,, just sharing

BG syncroshift was the worst fluid I ever used. Every time I changed my tranny fluid the drain plug was caked with metal fillings so you know the gears don't like that fluid. Both redline MT90 and amsoil MTG are much beter

almost anytime someone notices an issues with grinding on shifts and swaps out fluid it always helps cure it for a little bit. this is do to it being new fluid. your issue is not your fluid. you just think it is. but when you change it out you get the feeling that ''o this stuff must work i dont grind'' in reality its because its fresh fluid. you have a clutch adjustment issue or your sync's are on there way out.

when you drain that bg junk out take a closer look. it go's in nice and thick. but comes out like water. i changed my fluids every 2k miles when i used that crap. at that time i thought it was the best until i broke 4th gear in a 5 speed. i swapped for AMSoil and its much better now. the trans shifts much smoother. ''comparing from BG to AMSoil.

maybe you used the wrong trans fluid from AMSoil. either way IMO use something other then that BG.

Since you enjoy telling me what is wrong with my car Ill explain further...I had the Amsoil in my vehicle for a day or 2 when 4th gear began to grind at high rpm shifts...It did it once then twice then three times & I'm like wtf...I was hoping it just needed to run through the tranny more & the grind would go away...5k miles pass & nope still grinding...8k miles past...nope still grinding & slowly getting worse & the gear box was slowly feeling "knotchier" as well...The day I put the Amsoil in I didn't like how it felt...stock Diaqueen felt better & Royal Purple felt better as well...I will tell you right now I do not have a clutch adjustment issue...If I used the wrong fluid from Amsoil then it would be the gentlemen I replied to above you fault...I bought the fluid & pump from him...As far as I know I was sold the same weight as everyone but this was 2 yrs ago now...
