That does not sound good. Is it a knock count tuned into your ecu?

Is the light flashing or staying on solid? If it is flashing it is an ecu mod. If it is solid it could be something else. 99% chance it is an ecu mod done by your tuner.

sounds like the cel is setup to flash upon knock, but how sensitive it is depends on the tuner. It might be a minor few counts or more serious. any changes to the mods/boost/octane since the tune?

would that really throw off the tune enough to make knock? the car was having idle problems so i cleaned my MAF and put the k&n air filter in and it idles much better.

Changing the filter is enough to change the flow to the MAF which will and might throw the tune off. My knock flash I think is set for 3 or 4 count for slow flash and fast flash is 6 or higher but I would have to check my rom again. Your K&N might be more restrictive and you may not be getting enough air to the MAF

Did your tuner do a mild or aggressive tune? Like others have said, little things like an air filter matter of fact can throw off your tune...more so if it was an aggressive tune.

Knock Cell was it a slow or fast blink. Ask you tuner what settings he put in for knock cell fast and slow.

Heck gas from different stations can be more prone to knock. Your tuner is one of the best in the tri-state so I wouldn't worry to much just monitor it and talk to him about what your seeing.
