Been running Wiseco pistons on cars and motorcycles for over ten years and never had a single problem... Originally Posted by n2oiroc

Today, if you purchase pistons for the top brands, you can't go wrong - machining, installation and tuning is were things go wrong 99.99% of the time...

I've had weisco pistons and mahle aluminum rods in my car with a lil over 700awhp n not one hiccup. As long as u buy from a major company n get the motor built by a good shop there should b no problem.

I used them in my talon, am using them in my evo build right now, and know a few people that use them. I have seen the least amount of failures with wiseco compared to others.
JE was notorious in the dsm days for piston slap.
Arias I have seen fail in a supra with some what low hp
Ross is sorta ok just haven't appealed to me but have been recommended by a few tuners and i believe ams uses them.
i ended up buying Arias, i didn´t want to buy wiseco becouse my last set of wiseco only lasted about 30.000 miles and the sideskirt of the piston cracked..
these are my new ones

If you are interested in coating them I would give any HPC dealer a call, they can coat them for under $160 for the set.

Wiseco are unbelievably beefy now with the 1400HD series of piston. It has a strutted skirt (boxed perpendicular to the wrist pin), you can get .250 wall pins if you ask, and is pretty light. Set them up with good piston to wall (.0045 to .0005) and its good to go. We ran them in Jeff's 8.5:1 1G motor that was making 1000whp.Originally Posted by awd2gen

Arias- Good piston, was in the White Evo at 1014 hp. Customer service and timeframe arent 100% what I would like.
JE- Good piston, horrible timeframe (3 weeks=7 weeks).
Ross- Currently in all our drag cars. Jeff's 10.5:1 is using them right now. Magnus and AMS also believe in them.
Manley- Buschur, Us, and others have started using these. A little porky but definitely engineered strong.
