Tranny seal?

I'm rebuilding my transmission and I heard there is a better sealant than the OEM.
Does anyone know what it is? Thanks

I use GM engine sealant 88861417...
granted I get it for free, but that stuff seals great

I used the better permatex gray sealant when I did the trans in my AWD Talon; 130k miles on it, no case leaks. just use a small amount- you dont' need a huge bead as the cases are well machined. I don't know if it is better than OEM but it works for me and was available locally and cheap

and unrelated but if you have higher miles, change the seal on the shifter input shaft. I didn't do this and it started leaking not too long after.
