My car did the almos the same thing. Twice in one month..what a pain it was lol

Just because your check engine light is not on doesn't mean there isn't a code.
When my CAS went the light never came on, but the codes were there.

Borrow a scanner, or see if discount autoparts rents them out...

Ok, I made a mistake, I know I have a functioning starter AND fuel, however, I have no spark. Anymore ideas? All fuses are good.

 

did you scan for codes yet? With all your start attempts i'm sure the code should be stored there. Atleast get that out the way

fuses where ? That def is the exact symptoms to a bad ecu fuse under the dash. Cranks but no spark, no codes.... ecu fuse

 

Ok, will check that. I checked the fuse under the hood, I was not aware of an ecu fuse under the dash. Donde esta?

 

left side, you have to pull out the little panel on the bottom of the dash. There should be a diagram on the side of the panel look for the one with the engine pic. That should be your problem

 

Pulled the panel, all fuses are ok. Looks like I'm getting a tow to Full Function in union city Dagnabbit, the tow will probably cost more than it will to repair! Thanks anyway, guys ( and gals ). -stuie

 

I see you wrote that you have 105k on it, have you replaced the T-belt yet?

 

I have. Greddy kevlar belt, about 45k ago.

 

A lot of you guys seem to think that CEL's are the magical answer to car problems. No offense but most the time a car won't even throw one.

If your not getting spark it could still be the CAS because when its not working or unplugged the car won't send you spark but still fuel I believe. Also check for 12v's from the coilpack plugs.

 

Hey guys...

On a hunch, I scanned my car again with a different scanner. Our department's mechanic was kind enough to let me borrow his. I found the following codes

P0335
P0335 pending
P0113
P0113 pending
P2228
P2228 pending

I am not sure about the pending status of the codes. HOWEVER. I am certain that the 335 is a malfunctioning CAS. The other two, 113 is IAT high and 2228 are in relation to my AEM SRI and my evoM "Do it yourself" after cat o2 spacer (running a test pipe). Do I seem to be on the right track here? Thanks again, sorry for so many stupid questions. Anyone in California, I'll buy you a beer -stuie

 

Check the wiring at the MAF plug, it can be hard to unplug sometimes and if you pull on the wires it could slide the pins out of the connector.
