Keep filling until it's toward the top line on the dipstick.

What motor did you put in, just a built 4G63 or a new 4G64 stroker? When you do the swap from 63 to 64 sometimes you have to be careful to align the dipstick in properly, as not all of the little bolts and holes from the 63 components line up. I was told that you must watch and make sure the dipstick tube is all the way in and might even have to drill out a support bolt hole deeper so it can attach snugly to the hole. Otherwise you could get inaccurate readings of the oil level, for example you could always think you are a little low on oil and you are alright (only around .5 - 1 quart difference).

Like I said though, it depends on what motor you installed. 5 quarts should be the upper limit of what you are looking to put into a 4G63 though. It just all depends on what specs the motor was built to.

Good luck
