XS T3/T4 Turbo Setup(56KDeath)

Ok so i just received The XS Manifold and Downpipe in the mail today and at first glance the down pipe is a good quality product and is well put together. as for the manifold everything is quality about the manifold it is High quality 50mm 321 thick wall stainless steel,Robotically TIG welded, Collector placement allows use of TiAl typev band 44mm wastegate,Turbine placement allows use of full 3.0 inch downpipe, No modification to the radiator necessary. The only thing wrong with the manifold is that one of the runners is pinched to avoid hitting the other runners were they meet the turbo flange. im thinking i will have to take the manifold and get a replacement runner welded and bent properly to avoid having to crimp it and block airflow.

i cant believe they sold the kit w/ the manifold runner design like that w/ the pinched runner. that's pretty severe.

Believe it. That pinch is so severe that I'm having trouble believing that anyone would allow such a thing to pass. I think I'd be more inclined to return it and put the responsibility in their hands to make it right.

I used one and it made great power for the setup. You will find that the flange lines up bad, and won't fit over the studs. i just drilled the whole a little bigger, the head flange is not even remotely flat(atleast mine wasn't). I brought it to a machine shop to have it decked but he said he would have to remove way to much material to get it straight. I just used two manifold gasket and tightened it down when it got hot. Also I like the permatex copper spray a gasket, seamed to seal it up well. All in all decent manifold interms of functionality but you get what you pay for.

how much do you think it would cost to get a new runner welded on to the manifold?
or at least half a runner.?

NO mine was nowhere near like that. The pipes actually touch eachother right there. I still Have it if you wanna buy it lol that way your downpipe would still work. I had mine rewelded at the headflange and added a brace in it for support. It never cracked but then again I didn't just buy it and use it either. If you don't have the tools and time to modify it yourself you are better off just spending more and having something that you don't need to fool with.

If you have the tools time and skills this manifold is a decent starting point. Although if you have the tools and stuff youd be better off just getting flanges piping and building your own.

what did you end up buying? and do you still use your xs down pipe? all of my flanges are perfect but i wish i could say that for the runners. i emailed xs and hopefully they will replace the manifold. ok there website it says 100% garented satisfaction and life time warranty so my guess is they will replace it.

Im doing a PT6262 so i need every inch of runner i can get.
