Shearer’s combination of exhaust manifold & O2 housing

Has anyone combined the Shearer (stock turbo) exhaust manifold and their O2 (external dump) housing? I can see this as being a pretty sweet combo for any of the stock (appearing and not so appearing) turbos on E85.

Curious to know if there’re any before and after numbers out there? Or what do you all even think about the Combination of the two?

Thx

Shearer manifold $1123
Shearer O2 housing $442
FP Green/Red/Black $1695/$1799/$1849
Oil Line $150

$3400-$3600

You are getting pretty close to a HTA3582R tubular manifold kit at that point, yet you still have an internal wastegate and a non-ball bearing turbo. The Black with those parts will spool faster then the HTA3582, but the HTA35 kit would make a decent amount more power.

About the only benefit I see going this way is that you could get 90% of the performance with just the turbo upfront for substaintially less and then you could upgrade the rest over time.

this combination would be of course for someone that already has the stock appearing turbo with have all the supporting mods as well and the bigger turbo wouldn't be an option at this stage in the game. Thx 03whitegsr for your input.

I'm really curious about this. Car is getting built at buschur 2.3 black. So I'm sure this would work nicely with that setup

dont forget with the o2 you have to get the downpipe. if somebody does it more power to them but as stated above your very very very close to 35r territory and defeating the purpose of the stock frame turbo

I understand what you guys are saying. But If I wanted a 35 tubular manifold kit I would of bought one of them. I went with the black because of the slightly later spool over the red, but capable of around 700 awhp. I am aiming for 550 to the wheels with my build. We all know that the black has more than 100 hp left in it easily. So I just wanted to take it a step further and add this manifold for certain. I am learning about the o2 dump, hence why I asked. But if I need to add another downpipe other than my AMS tbe one, then that is just to much work then. Again I understand what you guys are saying, and you have a legit point. But I dont want the 35r kit. I basically have one with the black, right?

correct. get a aftermarket manifold get a o2 dump like map or epm or custom and be happy. i personally dont want a dump right now on my build as i dont want the added sound nor smell in my enginebay. What is your whole setup again?? I really really really hope your stroking the motor

^ Do you know what your losses were down low; 300-500 rpm later spool or what? I keep looking at the AWD Motorsports Shearer mani dyno post but the low-end loss is making me think.

Thanks, Rockman. I am not sure about the cosworth m2 cams, but I wanted to see what I can make with them. I'll probally swap them for s2's thou down the road, well see. I thought this build with the shearer mani should be real nice.
