So I'm putting in a new motor in a month into my car and I was wondering what you guy would suggest I do to it before install.

My goal for the car isn't really huge, that's why I'm hoping for some advise on what's best for me. I'm aiming for about 500hp to the crank, so from what I hear that about 400hp to the wheels (20% lose).

I currently have:

Perrin Intake
Works TBE
ETS V2 LICP & Short Route UICP
65mm TB
Aftermarket o2 housing w/ wastegate ported
PPI ported exhaust manifold
Works P2 Flash

I'll be adding with motor install:

272 Cams, Kelford I believe?
Aftermarket intercooler, haven't decided which one
MAP Steath Series Turbo w/ full hotside & Turbine port
Duel ecu flash switch (91/e85)

So what should I have done to the motor before installing it?

I was thinking of having the Intake manifold ported, and then having a simple gasket match port done on the Head on both Intake and Exhaust side. I'm not sure if I need to upgrade any of the internals on the motor because I here 400whp is still pretty safe.

I dont know much about that turbo but I have the MAP rev3 IM and I also use their O2 housing dump downpipe with my FP red and on pump(which I dont even use) I made 447whp on 25lbs of boost.

 

Map SST seems like a good choice.. BBK-Full has also proven to be a turbo that can break 400WHP on low-reading dynos as well!!

I would say replace the Kelfords with GSC S2.. i read an article last time n the S2 had better midrange and almost results identical uptop!!

Intercooler-wise, I would suggest the CBRD intercooler or Buschur Race.. They're the same except for the fitting which is in CBRD's favor!!
