Apologies if this was covered somewhere, but what kind of tires were used during that pass?

I realize for such a short period of time, it's not necessary to have tires that are speed-rated for 230+ mph, but I'm still curious.

Hey guys thanks for the good words. I am finally recovering from all the traveling and late hours working on cars to get them ready for the texas mile(Yusufs car=200.2 mph) and maxton nc,(my car 237.63 mph). That was alot of driving and workingon cars in the last 2 weeks.
We had a blast at both races and I managed to make a fairly good run.
If anyone has any questions about the race or the car I will try and answer them.

Mike Reichen

Nice work Mike you make the evo community very proud

Love to see your car on a smoother track though I bet you could get a few more MPH on a better surface.

We were glad to be there to see this happen. Great job mike.

It was also awesome because we were sitting next to these STRAIGHT UP back woods hillbillies talking straight trash about the "Lil 4 door pocket rocket" while they were towing it to the start line. Then they ran 237 and everybody on the strip was standing and clapping hahaha it was classic.

Eating crow is an English-language idiom meaning humiliation by admitting wrongness or having been proven wrong after taking a strong position

Wow, someone that actually knows where that came from! I was telling a couple of my younger friends about it and they had no clue about it.

237 MPH In-car Video on page 6 of this thread.
