Looking for ideas on what could be a possible problem. I recently installed a competition Stage 4 clutch, everything went smooth for the most part other than the collar popping off and having to re-drop the the tranny. However after everything went in, and I drove it around the the good ole break in I noticed when I would go WOT between 5500 and redline the whole car would jerk and go. It feels like the clutch is grabbing but I dont have any idea on what I should do to correct whats going on then putting a new clutch in.. Any help

 

Did you torque the pressure plate down correctly and did you resurface your flywheel?

 

Yes sir, all torques were done, and thats for everything. Motormounts, pressure plate bolting the tranny back to the block all of em. Is it a possibility it could just be something as simple as the bleed? I did have to replace the clutch master cyl to. And ever since doing that the clutch hadnt felt as tight as what it did before. Could not having a proper bleed possibly keep the pressure plate from fully dis-engaging allowing me to slip ever so slightly? The only other things I could think of was that my spline could be burred in a spot or the clutch is just bad. Im lost and coming up with crazynees out of thin air.

 

Im still hoping one of you guys can help me or point me in the right direction. The best way I can explain it is that the clutch pedal now feels spongy it holds the same pressure each day and I dont have a problem with it as far has having to bleed it everyday however I cant seem to get it any tighter then what it is. And the car is still doing a real quick jerk or two when I press the gas and go WOT. Its justa real violent jerk like the clutch slips for a split sec and then grabs real hard. Any ideas on what could be happening.
