you know dude i have found that you are never done modding. what you like now a few months from now you want more. get the fp black, you will love it and have room to grow for a long time FYI I just did a black and am on stock block and head. 437 to the wheels at 6825 rpm and 25.4 psi

If anything do the HTA green or BBK. you do the tomei and you will kick urself later

Just remember if you want 400, you will then want 450, then you will want 500, then maybe just a bit more to 550... That is usually the way it works with people. You should get a turbo that can get you 550-600 and have great spool and topend. FP Red. Here is my dyno on my stock motor that I drove "Hard" for over a year. Took the motor apart to build a 2.4L and the stock motor looked brand new. The Red is a great turbo for the stock motor and 500-550 is fairly safe on the stock motor. Why limit yourself to 400! I'm putting the FP Red back on my built 2.4 to have a wicked street car! Should dyno it in a two weeks!

I would love to have the Tomei Arms however, I realized it is just too close to stock and does not hold as much power as the FP Green.

Other people have said step up to the FP Red. Although, it seems absurd, why not? You can tune it very conservatively and not have to worry about upgrading when more power is desired. You can simply tune the Red to higher power whenever wanted although, in the meantime a little lag would be noticeable since the Red is larger than the Green.

The CBRD designed BBK is a great turbo and evo owners are running veryyyy successful and satisfying numbers on the turbo, which has more potential than the Arms.

However, if it came down to the FP Green vs Arms, I would choose HTA Green. If you have the option and budget to go to a Red, do it, because you will be wanting more power in no time lol.

Yeah, but you'll have to admit that you are just a wee bit over the edge, Mikey LOL. Are you still planning to port the Red's turbine housing, BTW?

FP Green HTA 73 out of those two turbos for sure. But if i were you, i would go with a FP red or Black and de-tune to the power you're comfortable with. Then, later on when you want more power, you'll have the turbo to do it with.

BTW, i'm making 400whp/320ft lbs on my FP Black @ 22 psi(via VDR, which I've got setup to be deadly accurate). Still tuning and turning up the boost. I will stop at 450whp until i replace my stock FMIC and piping. The lag is very manageable. Full boost @ 3800 rpm.

Yes that is still the plan. I will have a dyno in the next week or two with the built 2.4L on 35-36psi with the stock unported housing then the following weekend we will redyno with the ported housing on the same boost levels. I'll let you know once I get a dyno up. Start looking the end of this week or the beginning of next week.
