Best oil for tranny..

Ok i know there is alot of threads about this but please read through. I changed the oil in my tranny right before the winter with redline. at the time i was told it was a very good oil and all but my car started grinding going into second ever since i put the oil in. not knocking redline but i dont think this is a coincidence because the car hasn't been tracked or abused and only has 15k miles now. anyone have any advice for me?

You'll get 1000 different opinions here on this with no data to what actually is the best. I use Pennzoil Syncromesh and have for well over 100k. Trans is still bone stock and shifts great.

John at TRE recommended syncromesh to me ages ago with the recommendation of a change interval every couple oil changes or 6k to 10k. This advice has proved to work awesome for me and I wouldn't use anything else at this point until it gets rebuilt.

Take it for what it's worth. Shep I know mostly recommends Redline and John at TRE likes to recommend now the MR 6-Speed Diaqueen in both the 5 and 6 speed cars

Same here! I noticed a big difference in smoothness now since putting amsoil in the tranny.

So the 6-speed transmission fluid is fill and play? No issues or having to change fluid every 5-10k? I want OEM like fluid performance which will last me 30k.

Now what Redline oil did you put in you tranny? MT-90, MTL, or shockproof light? I just had my tranny rebuilt and I was told to run Pennzoil Syncromesh for the first 500 miles and then switch to Amsoil MTG or Redline MT-90 for more abuse.
