Once again Tomei Turbos SUCK! You should have got a HTAGreen if you were worried about spool. It would have spooled similar but make 50+hp over the Tomei at the same boost level. I have never seen a Tomei turbo do anything impressive!

tomei turbos are great for auto x BUT they dont make more power than a evo9 turbo, maybe 10hp more.

Agreed! A waste of hard earned money if you ask me, $1600 down the drain when you could have had a BBK, Green, Red or Black!

Im sorry you wasted your money on it. Heres prime example why to go HTA green. I hope more people start to research Tomei before wasting there money. Can you get any money back and put in a HTA green?

why is it better for AutoX?
guess its just the name...plus JDM royalty fees
but what about the reliability?
the quality?
as compared to HTA green

A BBK full would kick the crap out of this thing.

I agree that the turbo is unimpressive but maybe he wanted this specific turbo for reasons we dont know. Im sure there has to be a reason.
At the end of the day someone said its $1600 its not a big loss, it made more power than when it went in so its not a complete loss.

Wanted to post this up.

Not apples to apples but this is a green I did a little bit ago versus the tomei.

The Green car is an 8 with cams hence the slower spool and perhaps more of the power but a pretty good comparison. I would go with a Green any day of the week.
