Fp black vs HKS GT2835

Does anybody got knowledge about turbo???

I was thinking about to getting turbo btw FP black an HKS GT2835.

I know HKS stuff they made u empty pocket but I had a good deal......

How much does GT2835 kit make hp on evo ix(with stock motor) ??? when

does it spools up?? and do you think its better than FP black????I know FP

black is bigger but there must be more advantages from GT2835 kits....

Please !!! I wanna be a smart person about cars like you guys!!!!

Do you mean 3582? The smallest GT28 turbo comes with a 54mm exducer on the comp wheel (aka GT2854R)

An FP Black will blow the doors of an HKS 2835 anyway you choose to slice it. There is no advantage to the HKS kit, more money, less power.

The HKS turbos are like old, expensive dinosaurs. There isn't anything about them that something else doesn't do better, and at a lower cost. They were great in 2003, but it's 2010.

Ummm....Yeah. The FP Black will destroy that turbo. Don't buy any turbo kit made by HKS or GReddy....seriously. It's all overpriced crap. There are a TON of better options out there that will make a lot more power for a lot less.

I agree 100% with TedB. I even believe the FP Black will spool sooner. The 2835 is a poor design and does nothing but hurt power! Almost everything from HKS is worthless and outdated. Everyone makes upgrades almost yearly to improve their product, minus HKS.

I have a friend with the same turbo on a 2.3L and my FP Red on 2.0 spools faster and makes way more power. He only made mid 400s and I made 535hp... Don't waste your money man.

If you are worried about spool then get a FP Red or Black. Here is my Graph of my Red. A pretty solid cure on a stock 2.0 with only 30psi. https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...red-535hp.html

Yes sir! Here is the link to the POS http://www.hksusa.com/products/?id=1670

I think it is close to the stock turbo size of the RB25 That is def not an upgrade for the evo!!! Garrett stopped making this turbo years ago!

Yeah, that turbo was hardly an upgrade...lol. The stock 9 turbo would prolly do more damage.

disco potatoes are only good for 300-400 hp. You can actually get that with a stock turbo and a 9.8 hotside haha
