Anyone running a forward facing stock style turbo?

Seen a few of these manifolds popping up. I think this would be an awesome upgrade path for those who already have a Red, Black, or even the new HTA Green. If someone has one going, show me some pictures and details ove the overall setup and dyno numbers.

Kinda defeats the whole point of a "bolt-on" turbo.

This is meant to be a part of an upgrade path. The black has its limits in stock location no different than a 35R in stock location even with a tubular manifold. Think about if you had the black for a year or so and looking for some more power. Also people run forward facing manifolds on the street all the time.

Doesnt make any sense to do so, if you're getting a front facing manifold, new LICP, FPBlack etc you're spending almost as much money as you would on a good big turbo kit.

I dont think itll make a huge difference in power because these turboes are still on 10.5 hotsides. I just dont see the turboes gaining too much from it. Now if your goal is shooting for records, then you have to go all out and this may be an option. It would be interesting to see the results without changing the tune though.

I agree, I feel the fp turbos are more becuae of this. they are true bolt ons. No cusomt o2 housing, exhuast, etc. needed.

For what yu would pay to have forward facing manifold with "bolt on" style turbo, you might as well just have went with a gt 30, 35 etc.

Exactly...because in the end, we all know a 6262 will make more power than a black and will probably be more reliable/last longer...not that I doubt the reliability of the black as I have a Red on my car...but if I had to do it all over again, I would have just went with a T3 style turbo as I have ran both the red and the green. not gonna run a black because after the red goes or I want more power than the red will provide on my 2.3, I will run the 6262 or something along those lines.
