What goes on the bottom of the stat housing?

What goes on the bottom of the stat housing?

Ok so i just realized that theres is a hole on the bottom of the tstat housing, for a sensor or something..? Its pissing out antifreeze

That is for the Evo IX coolant bypass that goes into the larger water pipe that runs behind the engine. If you have an Evo VIII then you need the VIII thermostat housing. If this is on another vehicle and you don't have the IX water pipe then you will need one or just switch to the VIII t-stat housing. I have one if you need one shipped quickly. Or do you mean the rear water pipe itself comes around at bolts to the t stat?

Found a pic of a evo 9 rear water pipe it seems to have a piece that goes up where the hole in the t stat is. Im gonna tape the hole and plug it, problem solved.
