You could probably rebuild the one you have through shep for cheaper than you will find one used online. That and it can take a whole lot more of a beating and shouldn't ever need replaced again...

Why won't you go that route again?

you're going to be spending close to $900 for a used one, and that's with about 30k miles, then if you want it refeshed (which I would recomend unless you knew the previous owner) that's another $300, a stage one from shep and to replace your ring and pinion bearing (if that's what's wrong with yours) is going to be $1500 so no matter what you pick you're going to be dropping some serious money, I would go with the later as that's what I did. I mean of course this is with replacing it yourself and mind you it's not exactly easy and if you track your car I wouldn't keep it stock

Well I found one for a very good price and it only has 15k miles on it I don't want to borrow money instead try and work with what I have at the moment I don't track the car but will in the future

Its not grinding its rattling you don't hear it till it goes above 3500k but the car runs normal the dealer told me its going out that's the reason why I hear the rattle

you say you don't hear it until 3500 rpms??? So it's not dependant on speed?? To me that doesn't sound like a T-Case I would get another opinion. When mine went it had nothing to do with engine rpm I was driving on the highway and I heard a siren noises OVER my stereo and then there was the ratling noise, I knew instantly what it was because of what I've read in the past. Mine even at low speeds like 15 mph you could hear the sound of the bearings like a bad wheel bearing

If your t-case is going bad, you'll hear a very LOUD whine, not a rattle. Search evo death whine on youtube and that's what it sounds like. I don't trust a dealer for sh*t. I would get another opinion on what it is and don't buy used; just rebuild what you got or have fun having to pay more IF you get f*cked on whatever you buy used.
