Just stick with a single walbro and 1000s or FIC 1250's, then if you run into issues, slap a boost-a-pump on there and call it a day. You will be right at the edge of the limit of the single walbro.

We hit the limit on my car around 450 running e85 and 30psi. I had a pte 1000s and a single walbro.

Btw this was on the stock IX turbo on a dynojet.

I made about 460 whp as well on a single Walbro running through Data Log Labs.
I've never "modded" a single walbro, FYI.

BBK full (not the larger one coming out) is just fine with single pump and decent sized injectors.

avg 440-460whp on our dyno.

Once you get a biggie turbo with more airflow is when you need the double.

Something other then your single pump (or the pump wasn't 100%) was your issue. The stock turbo does not flow enough air to come close to maxing out a single healthy walbro 255lp HP.

Thats odd since plenty of people have proven the 255 to flow enough to support anything a stock or even a green or BBK has to offer. I would assume just in the CA bay area theres at least 15 or more people that have had zero issues at your power and more.

There was a guy on here that made 388awhp with a single walbro, RC1000's, and a BBK full. This was on a low reading mustang dyno. There was still plenty of injector left.

I went with a BR double pumper. Incase one pump fails I'll still be safe. Plus the fuel system can support a bigger turbo.

The answer is yes. But why not go bigger? Get the Walbro 400 or wait for the E85 compatible Walbro 460.

All it does is keep the safety valve from dumping pressure OVER 75PSI, which translates to approximately OVER 30 PSI of boost. If you're running enough turbo to run out of fuel under 30 PSI, this does nothing for your problem.

(2) running a double pumper does not necessarily save your engine if you one of the pumps fail. Instead, you have enough fuel for your engine to continue to run VERY LEAN, because (a) your system is only running on one pump, and (b) the way the system is designed can cause restrictions in the fuel flow from the remaining pump, depending on how it was designed. Either way, you're better off running one big pump, so if it quits, your motor gets no fuel and stops, rather than keeps running at high boost without adequate fuel to supply the need... Remember, your computer does not have any input to know your fuel pressure or volume just dropped in half...

Which single pump would you recommend?
