for once i have to agree with mikey here. JMS is steadly trying to talk me into doing SD conversion. they are like its only 250 in parts and its done . So i told them i would consider it i have not done much research on the topic yet as i was more worried about getting all the parts needed for my build together now that im done last part to be bought tomorrow Strut bar yaaaa i guess ill read some into SD unless mikey wants to give me to cliff notes to the gains of having it and also the CONS to it. Btw to answer your earlier question mikey i bought a beast block i had Manley turbo tuff series rods the issue was one of them was shaved alittled. JMS did not like that and had it weighed etc and it was determined to replace it but did not know which one it was as there is 4 different ones and only 2 of them std that would fit so had to take it to machine shop which was backed up. They got back to me yesterday and i ordered rod from chris@nolimitimotorsports and he ordered from manley so waiting on the one rod and its ON got my AMS custom HG already got parts from SBR only thing i truely need is a balance belt to behonest

Mikey why do you hate on the std2.4 lol im going to rock the **** out of mine once i see how your LR2.4 preforms we shall see if a minor upgrade is needed later. To be honest just having a built block is cool enough

You agree with me for once... I think you agree with me a lot more than that. I just don't agree with you very much!

There are no CONs to going SD that I am aware of. The hardest part is finding someone that you trust to tune on SD.

I don't hate on the std 2.4L I clearly just state that if you are doing a motor build and your motor is already apart you should just go ahead and do a LR setup. It is practicily the same price. You can get everything off the shelf, nothing custom. Manley and GSC make 156mm rods off the shelf and you use a std 1.13 CH piston with a 86.5 or 87mm bore. It is that easy. There is also no CON to doing a LR, nothing but benifits, lot of benifits. I'm not hating on your or anyone else. Just saying if you are going to do it you should just do it better for the same price. I see nothing wrong with that. Why do you think all the shops are not jumping on the LR band waggon?

the only shop i know of doing LR2.4 is ER to be honest and indivual people. But i watch yours and see how you like it and stuff. On paper anything can sound cool so ill wait till you get a couple miles under the belt races etc to give a review so far. when in doubt ill build one later. im more concerned with finishing this one then doing rims then a completely new paint job. Then ill take a car break probaly 1 year let fp make another turbo LOL and by then you would have plenty of usuage of the LR2.4 for me to feed off of. who knows by then Yahu will be part of the clan black 2.4

I might just do regular with maf then get number then have them convert to SD while im there and see how much hp etc i really gain

You're retarded and clueless. I'm over 15k in mine and i do all my own work almost 99%. Parts up add, but its no comparison to other more high end automobiles out there. Just because you cant afford it doesn't mean others cant.

If he wants someone else doing it then what is wrong with that? At least hes having a shop that knows their **** do it to begin with. You would be surprised how many people let others wrench on their vehicles that can do it themselves but choose not to.

You know that Aaron has been running his LR2.4 for the past month right? You can ask him for his feedback so far!

lol Dan may be going to the LR2.4 Black clan sooner than he thinks if he has bearing problems. I hope not but should know what is wrong with his can in a few weeks.

FYI I am a doctor and make 500k a year. I picked the evo over a Lambo...

I totally agree. I have built hondas before but I like to think a honda is a bit different than an EVO. Ya if you build a motor you should be able to build them all. But when it comes to my build and the reliability that I am looking for there is no one better than ER that has built thousands of EVO motors and build all their customer motors to the same specs as Lucas or Aaron would build their personal cars. That is somehting you can't get many other places. They don't throw motors together like other shop!

thats nice that you put your bankroll out there but to all thats reading you can make 25k a year and still have a killer beast evo with a built motor . long as you budget your money and take your time it will get done eventually. making bank just means it gets done quicker.

LOL. Ya I never built a motor myself internally and never plan on it

I would for sure let my car be worked on by ER though if I had a choice and lived in that area.

Just did all suspension on it, changed all bushings and white line roll kit, and new coilovers. stripped a camber bolt so had to wait 7-8 days for mitsu to ship me the right bolt back after ****ing the first order bolt up -- now suspension is done, but i still cant drive cause i shipped valve cover off to get powdercoated

Car was built to be a dust collector LOL

I don't think he was being serious. If so that is hilarious to the other dude I quoted then, because if i read that and found out it was true id feel like a complete jackass for commenting what he did.

There is a guy on here that makes over that figure tho and has 2 evos and prefers his evos over his other exotic cars. I forget his name now on the forum. has the blue evo and silver one.

There will be motor pics in here on Wed at the latest. Aaron has all the pics at the shop and I will get them from him when I go to get my car.

No I was not serious! Rock will just believe anything you tell him. I am an E5 in the Navy. I just budget a lot of my pay to my evo. That's all. Anyone that knows me, knows I don't make that much money but I act like I do. I'm really just hella in debt!!!

Honestly if I was rich I would still have my evo. I love it.
