keep me posted regarding the egt solution. That's pretty much the only complaint regarding the black. The stock crank is actually good for 1000 hp but it has to be balanced very well with everything. If it has been balanced well then it should be fine. It's not the crank that breaks due to being weak. I refuse to believe it.

We will release all our testing once results come out. I also believe that the stock cranks are rated for 1000hp. The ones that I know that have failed are mostly due to improper engine building. No going to bring these thought out into the forums but if you want more info you can shoot me a pm.

Hell Marti from SBR racing is running a cut/shaved 4G64 crank in there 1000hp car and not having any problems, however I don't have the ***** to shave my crank.

I have been running sims for the last week. I am not sure that the new cams are really worth the abuse to the valvetrain with a Black for the pump. I think the larger turbos really will be more noticeable but the Black is bordering on too small for huge cams. I think off the shelf S2s will be more what we want but I am here to serve.

Aaron it is really what you think we should do... You know better than anyone that I value your opinion! I am honestly sick of waiting for those cams that Greg can't get sent out... but I also don't think I will be sticking with the Black forever. I plan to go 3586 in the winter months. So then the larger cams would be helpfull. Whatever you think Aaron. I'm just afraid, based off overlaying my graph with John's and how they were identical that the S2s may not help me... What do you honestly think we should do?

Mikey,

I'm glad we're on the same page here. You shouldn't have to shave the crank if meticulous balancing is taking place. Too many grams off the center line can add up etc. But no need to go into this here. I'm sure the s2 off the shelf will suit your black setup. I might sell my kelford's for s2's myself before I install cams.

I think the off the shelf S2s would work great but I'm really about making out my setup to be honest. I want the largest bang for the buck! If I have to go S2s I will and look at the custom cams later down the road... I'll wait to hear what Aaron has to say... If he says go S2s than I will but if I gain 5hp I may be a bit depressed!

The simulation says that the S2R is worth about 7-10whp over the S2 with a ported head and a Black. If you really are going to do the 3586, then F it will do the ones that you will need and sort the rest out later

Okay sounds like a winner! That 10hp right now might make or break what I'm looking to do. Ya I'm looking at a ETS 3586, same setup as you or maybe a new FP turbo that may be coming out. Won't be till the winter though... Have to pay off some engine bills right now, but I want 700hp DD safely and the Black just won't do it!

btw Lucas said he was able to get a hold of Greg today and said they should be here by Tuesday the 22nd when I get there. Can you double check that and if need be I'll do one day shipping. Just get me my cams Aaron!

I have to let work know by tomorrow or I won't be able to get off. The next time I could get off would be the first week in September. I sure hope Greg gets those out to you ASAP!!!
