The wire to the PS pump tells the ECU to bump the idle so that you don't kill the engine while parallel parking.

there is a water temp sensnor on the the back. Im hoping this one is not a water temp sensor because there is literally no plug for it any where. it almost looks like a ground. Its a flat piece of metal. only other thing in the entire engine bay that looks like it is the same thing on the starter that i believe is a ground.

the one in back (towards firewall) is the coolant temp sensor, and the smaller one up front is the temperature sending unit.

Temp sensing unit...can you explain? And I don't have a plug anywhere on the harness, everything else is there except this. No cut wires or anything..

struggling to attach the link.....

www.trademotion.com/partlocator/index.cfm?action=getJointLocator&siteid=214857&cha pter=&Sectionids=0,2308&groupid=51823&subgroupid=3 317&componentid=0&make=24&model=Lancer[/url] Evolution&year=2003&graphicID=6265035&callout=23&c atalogid=2&displayCatalogid=0

if it doesn't come through as a link, go to autocenter.net, type in the vehicle and drill down to the illustrations of the parts.

ie, Evo, cooling, radiator and components, sending unit, water temp, view illustration. The harness should have a single spade plug, just like on the power steering pump.

Yeah definitly not on harness. But your saying it's one single wire right? If so I'll try and figure out the pin out on ecu and run a wire and splice at ecu.
