fpblack set up issues *need help*

whats up guys after 3 trips to the dyno and a lot of scratching head i cant figure it out whats wrong.... car has fpblack 25psi stock motor, kelford 272 cams ets 4" wide tank intercooler only put out 400whp everyone i talk to says car should be making least 450-460whp at 25psi..also if i set it up to 27psi boost will drop and go back up....... i have done boost leak test and acording with the shop its good, also timing on the belt is right on the money....once in while get a check engine light saying timing advanced....if i clear the damm light ill come back on maybe 2 days later regarless how much i beat on the car.....

**using dynojet dyno place is tsadyno in Jamaica, queens, runing fp 25psi actuator and have forged bov, we had reversed it at the dyno to test if was it, but still no change

what are your suggestions?

thanks

i got a check engine light saying timing over advanced when i had installed my cams and the pin in the camshaft had missed the whole in the mivec gear for pin to go into.... (pin slipped inside the camshaft) once i reset that and made sure the mivec gear was pre-rotated to the the rear of the motor when doing the timing

mod list would help maybe your missing something kean, also if your making 400whp on a mustang dyno thats not bad for 93oct & low boost!

also if boost is bouncing around then you prob have a boost/vac leak or leaky dv

How are you controlling boost? Have you attempted to turn the boost up past 25#? 25# is pretty wimpy for the Black through a 4" IC.

A few thoughts :

(1) Pull the code and folks will be able to give you more valuable input

(2) 400 whp @ 25 psi peak tapering to X psi at redline sounds about right to me (maybe a little low), but it is hard to say w/o knowing what stock cars put down on the dyno

(3) Post the dyno w/ boost logged and folks will be able to give you more insight

(4) Post a log of a few street pulls - my guess is you are knocking and pulling a bunch of timing

I like tinkering with wastegate preload settings and from what you have described I'll bet that your WG may be set really loose with hardly any spring pressure.

What are you using to control boost. You wouldn't happen to have a boost log from that dyno session would you?
