Another Happy Dynoflash customer!!

I sent out my ECU to Dynoflash Monday and recieved it back today. I installed it this morning. I have an HKS Super Mega flow intake, turboback, boost controller, and HKS AFR. I had the AFR tuned to lean out the mixture about 10% from 6k upward. I had verified the O2 voltage at about .93 to .94 volts with this tune.

When I installed the Dynoflash, I set the AFR back to zero and had the boost dialed into 19 psi. With the dynoflash the O2 voltage is reading about .94 volts. The power comes on extremely hard and early on. It seems to have even quicker spoolup than before and feels extremely strong. I was told that this tune is good for 20.5 psi. I have not tried it this high, but will. I am very impressed with this product and is definitely the best bang for the buck that you can get.

ALL HKS INTAKE OWNERS READ:

The biggest thing to note is that I was running lean on part throttle and below 4k RPMs before the Dynoflash. I could see this by reading the O2 voltages when running 6 to 8 psi, it wouldn't richen up like it should. It didn't feel completey smooth down low either, but would pull hard up high. From talking with Al, this is a thing that they found when tuning a car with the HKS intake. I think other tuners have noted this as well, and suggest just using a drop in filter. You can definitely run the HKS intakes with great success if you have the tune that Al has for the HKS intake cars. You just have to tune around their tendency to lean out the fuel mixture down low. When you do, you can really feel the difference. It is much more fun to drive now and seems to have alot more torque than before.

Your welcome. I maybe going to the track sometime soon, and possible a dyno. I will post the results when I have them. The Butt dyno is really happy though for now.

OK Al, there are 5 of us already commited for Atlanta:

1. *****Evo8
2. **EVOVIII
3. ****evo8
4. ****'s friend (don't have a name)
5. ****727

There are others interested as well:

EVOVIIIU will be here if his car is ready
SLOPOK EVO8 from Pensacola showed some interest
is300 was also interested

There might be more, but 5 is all that Al requires to make it. Al, please tell us what you want us to do next. I'd guess we need to send some kind of deposit? I'm ready to do it, I'd suggest PAYPAL. I really would like to do it the 22 of Nov.

I'm ready to go, let's do it

Oh yea. I would also love to thank Big Al and Pruven Performance.

Drove up last weekend all the way from TN. Came in at 236 whp, and left with 263 whp and a big grin.

I tell you what, if Al was to call me up tomorrow and tell me he could get another 15 hp from a flash, I would drive another 850 miles to do it again.

By the way, is Al coming down to Atlanta?

We certainly hope he is coming down in a couple of weeks... That's the plan and we are all hoping to make it happen!

Thanks ! I dont think you will make any more power till you get a few more mods ! 263 is not bad !

Al are you ever going to change your DynoFlahsed to Flashed? lol

Al - for his intake, were your richening it before boost came on or slightly after? I dont have an intake but I'm curious where in the rpm range its leaned out.

The HKS stuff is SUPER consistant

We have recently decided to sell a very HOT med hp through the mail flash for HKS intakes

It just reads deadly accurate and the same on every car - just different than the stock one

It comes in very lean - like 12.8 - 13.5 at 4 - 4500

Then it stays up abive the stock curve till 5500 when it crashes down in almost a stright drop to below 10.0 !

We just add in fuel till 5,000 then taper it to 5500 and then take it out to red line

Its alazing how flat and repeatable our fuel map is with that intake

HKS design some very good products

Cool, interesting to know that the hks intakes are so similar. Im assuming they are the ones with the complete turbo pipe and everything..

FYI~ Off subject a lil but thought id share - Currently ive found by richening the pre-spool I have got it to spool up a lot quicker. Even as much as 6% and not even touching timing at around 2500 rpm, of course tapering down to 0 by the time the turbo has spooled. This is with running the stock intake, lord knows I need a new filter.. This was also dyno verified at my last session. Dont know exactly how much hp was gained but you could see the hump. Damn Mustang dynos... why do they have to read like ****????

Its prob related to ign timing and knock

A suggestion - next time use a scan tool as you change the mixture and see if the ign timing changes as you make it richer

With stand alones - I generally get the turbos to spool faster with a lot less fuel to make heat quickly

The stock evo ecu is a big monkey wrench in conventional tuner theories
