Retuned from stock, seems to lag power

I just recently got an evo 8, i have a turbo back exhaust, cold air intake, walhboro fuel pump, boost controller, and evo 9 BOV. I went and got it retuned and from a dead stop going thru the gears she halls(compared to stock), but if i were to take off in 2nd gear or throw it down into 3rd it is seriously lacking power. Sometimes it pulls and other times it doesnt. Does anyone have any suggestions!? I am going to call back the tuner shop that did it and ask them, but when I first test drove it, he said give it time adjust.

What exactly sounds normal? for it to lack power if your not banging thru gears after a retune or for it to take time to adjust? Compared to before it got retuned it doesnt pull like it did taking off in 2nd gear or throwing it down a gear(sometimes).

Who tuned this?

Dyno? Do you have the maps? I'd start there. And do a boost leak.

It was done by STM Tuning out of Rochester, NY and have heard nothing but great reviews and many fast evo's from them. I have the map, but what am i looking for? And boost leak was what i was thinking...

Can use to compare to stock maps. But do a boost leak first, and I would talk with them. They are on top of things, they should help sort things out.

Like I said, stop in and We can take a look at it. The car put down between 40 and 50 whp more on the dyno over and over again. IT may need a set of plugs and or a boost leak test. Nothing in the tune is out of the ordinary.

It seems you are though. Like I said please stop in. And let me take a look. Anything could happen and I would rather be on top of it.
