wreckless,

you're right. were on the same page. i think there was some confusion. run the clutch for what you need op. i dont want anybody to "break to play" that's not my idea i would give. good post

jrivera,

refer to the post regarding what a larger clutch tq capacity implies and read the link before you recommend randomly to go triple. thanks

you guys are acting like changing a 1500+ clutch frequently is gonna be alot cheaper then replacing an occasional trans,t case, or rear diff...
its not like i'd tell everyone to go buy a triple either...every clutch has its place,im just saying that the op's stated setup is gonna be capable of 6-700whp(dynojet) and a twin will not last long if he pushes it that far....

Pretty much what I said the OP is running a HTA 37R and E-85 which = alot of tq. The twin disk isn't going to hold. The clutch will burn out very fast. The triple is the way to go and if the op is good to the car it will be good to him

Ive seen clutches that were "rated" at a certain level of TQ hold more then there "supposed" to plenty of times. My Push style twin has been in my car for 2 years at over 500WHP and for the past year at 40psi on a 6262 on E85 tuned fairly aggressively with a setup that makes A LOT of power But there is one key thing here.. I DO NOT launch my car which is why im sure my clutch lasted as long as it did. My races are all HWY or 30-40mph roll ons as that's what is popular here. Which is fine with me as my car big ends something fierce and its easier on my drive train as well
