my cams where the same way, I pm'd GSC the serial number and they told me that they are S2's. they told me that they get there cores from kelford and that they usually grind the kelford stamp off... just confirm with them and you should be fine....I also bought my Cams from MAperformance

We use the same foundry for billets as Kelford does. Some of our evo 9 cams came in with kelford stamps in them. Looks like we missed removing the stamps on a few sets. If you would look at the first cam cap ridge you will see a batch I'd and the letters ppb -in if that is on the cam it was ground by gsc and is an S2 profile.

That's hilarious.

Anyway, the specs are not the same as the Kelfords:

Probably could have emailed or PM'd Greg first before you installed them maybe?

As Greg pointed out, nothing to worry about. You still have S2s if thats what you ordered.

Sorry I missed this thread until now sir, looks like Greg has cleared it up though, sorry for any confusion! We generally have these cams in stock, but in rare instances like this one we will either drop ship from the manufacturer or another distributor as we don't like backorders
