We haven't had a Black at the same level to do a good test. However on paper the Black is larger...

FP Black = bigger plain and simple
for the XL- its coming- its being tested so we can plot flow etc (which we havent done before with Blouch)..
will still be completely stock appearing and use stock oil lines etc
same price as our current BBK

ahh u guys are killing me! i just bought my bbk full and now i want that once it comes out.
the black is definitely bigger but the bbk xl doesnt require a $200 oil line, and $120 intake and a long *** wait.
i had an fp red and now a bbk full...i loved the red and im sure the fp black is nuts! but the boost in between shifts is so much better now...when i shift the car takes off way quicker than when i had the red.
that the only comparison i can make with the black and the bbk xl....the black will probably make more power but it will be more laggy in between shifts and more laggy in general...

The Oil line is just added insurance, I would run one with any turbo that is going to take a beating. Oil starvation = dead turbo, 100% of the time. As for the intake, you know you can just remove everything, add a filter to the end of it and run speed density...
No the oil line is required for FP turbos (per FP) due to a different CHRA...
yeah forced performance uses journal bearing turbos that require more oil while CBRD uses ball bearing i believe so the stock oil line is plenty.
Forced performance makes sick turbos but the bbk full xl and the fp black are probably very different....after reading through many of the bbk and fp red/green/black threads...Cbrd turbos are made to be efficient with pump gas and lower boost compared to the fp turbos which like meth and e85....they still do sick with pump gas but they really shine when the boost is really cranked up
