Cams 180 out

I swear I'm not an idiot. But I'm turning my motor over by hand and the thing is running backwards. I suppose I could just swap the injectors over to the other side, but I'd rather just figure out these cams.

Kelford 280s. Fidanza gears(the red ones, faster). The cam that is on the intake side is marked IN, the exhaust is marked EX. I put the motor at TDC, put the marks straight up(I'm planing on degreeing them accurately, don't worry) And the intake valve doesn't open until the piston is almost to BDC(about 12*). So how often does Kelford mix up cams? More likely, how often does Fidanza drill their holes on the wrong side of a gear?

If the cam gears are backwards I can still degree the motor with a wheel and a dial indicator, though I'd rather not as I can't get to one till tuesday, but if the cams are mismarked I'm in a pickle.

There are two diff dowel holes in the cam gear. I actually used the ones not marked EVO.

+1

They marked them wrong. Which makes them 90 off not 180.

You can't mix up the cams on a 8. The exhaust has the slot for the CAS and the intake does not.

They'd be 90 off, like you said, but this really appeared to be a full 180*. I won't know till I get the degree wheel.
