i went with the mr simply because of the "hot deal" aspect. I've seen many mr's in dealer lots because the "evo" community doesn't want 6 speed. Some said 25k with 28k miles, after wards I offered 21.500. they laughed but 3 days later i was contacted. the car was pristine, and i found a 12k mileage transmission for 1k from an evo 9. when you change the clutch or do any work, jus swap it up. its not a matter of gsr vs mr here its a matter of 'how hot is the deal" if the gsr se is priced at 24k at a dealer but you can get the mr for 22 id rather get the mr. just my .02 because you can swap the transmission easily. you may even find an evo 8 with low mileage for way less. since everybody is evo 9 crazy some 8's with 50k miles are out there for 17

I would look into a SE. They are sexy cars. Great interiors.

I guess i will have to agree with some of the people on here.
GET THE GSR!

The MR isn't all that. In reality, you'll be spending more at then fixing things than modding!
That's what it felt like for me and ahhh.. i regret getting the MR, especially that i do alottt of tracking now (Redline). The 6 speed will not hold for crap in high speeds and constant heat. The 4th gear and even 5th gear will take a poop on you and then you will over heat, lol!
Happened to me soooo many times. That 6 speed is crap.

The ONLY thing i liked about the "MR" is that the aluminum roofing and the HIDs, hahaha! That's IT!
Everything else is what the hell for $2k+!?!?! \:

Yeah for what it'll cost you in tranny mods the little extras from the MR are not worth it.
