Big trouble in little china

Tonight I was tuning my car for the drag strip by doing a 1/4 mile dyno pull. So I used the two step to build about 15 PSI with the two step, dropped the clutch and that was all she wrote. The wheels turned a few turns and came to a stop. I thought the car popped out of gear but something went wrong, really wrong!

So I can put it into gear, it goes into gear smooth, shifts fine, the speedometer is still working, but the wheels are not moving... WTF!!! So I've talked to a few different people and here are the ideas they have come up with, problem could be:

1. Blown front diff in the T-case
2. Blown clutch pack in the T-case (06 ACD)
3. Front Input Shaft popped out
4. Blown rear end
5. Broken center diff in the tranny

Drained the fluid in the t-case and the tranny and both seemed good. There were some shavings in the new tranny but nothing big. T-case fluid was perfect, no shavings of any kind (Shep build with stock MR center diff)

SOOOOO WTF could it be? need a quick fix to run the car on Wednesday, PLEASE HELP!

Yep, that what it's set up for, or so I'm told? Other wise why would Mustang build it with that option?

So if the axle pops out, does it cut power to all the wheels?

Talked to Kevin at Jacks transmission (working late) he told me that it is either the Center diff in the tranny or the front diff in the tcase. I really hope it's the front diff for goodness sake! Easier fix!

WOW that is a bummer that it let go on the dyno but it may have saved you a costly tow from the track at least?

I posted up to find out what it ends up to be.........time to start turning wrenches!

if the axle popped out you would have fluid leak out but would not stop the others from spinning

make sure the transfer case input shafts are snapped in the whole way. I am pretty sure the car would not move with one axle disconnected. In my driveway my car picks a wheel up because of th egrade and I have almost gotten stuck because it just sends all the power to the wheel thats 2 inches above the ground.

Blown Tranny and Tcase!!! FU** launching your car on the Dyno! I was misled to think it could not hurt the car and this is what happened. It's a brand new built tranny and Shep tase, just look at what happened. Guess it's down time for the Evo!
