Well here is another classic case of you get what you pay for with tuning.. This car came to us with METH injection & AEM.. It would appear the Tuner had no idea WTF they were doing with AEM and to add to that the METH didnt help matters much either..

I decided to post this since last week i quoted someone 750.00 for an AEM including the dyno time.. their reply was " thats crazy, why is it so much ".. it wasnt this customer but it did stick out in my head when the customer told me that.. Ill guarantee if i look under the hood of his car i could find 1500.00 worth of USELESS parts and JUNK but yet 750.00 for a proper tune was CRAZY.. This somehow baffles me because you invest 10-20k into a car but the part that keeps it all together is the TUNE..

Most common thing people squawk about is Fuel System Prices and Tuning.. I guess neither bling or look cool in pictures to post on the internet but they are by far 2 of the most important aspects of a modified car..

 

Well Im glad I opted for the BR double pumper and for David to be the one doing my tuning then...that looks so terrible what ended you causing that exactly?

This exact thing is all to common to me as i see it ALL THE TIME! I have people say WTF when i give them a price on tuning.. yet they always come around after the "cheaper" guy pops there engine. No matter what you say or tell someone they are going to do what they want and most people trying to be cheap learn the hard way. Sometimes more then once unfortunately.

 

God that makes me appreciate the ECUFlash guru's even more.

 

I just saw a local supra on aem lift the head with detonation all over the tops of the pistons...sloppy. Id love to put AEM in my car but honestly don't know who id have tune it.

 

Ive seen exactly this on ECUFLASH as well.. 90% of the time with Meth involved..
