keyword here is 6th.... different load with different trans/gearing/ratios. in a 5spd you cant floor 4th gear at low load/rpm with a fp red.

do yourself a favor and just rev out 3rd gear then shift into 4th slow. wont surge guaranteed, unless you have other major issues with ignition

You know you may have just hit on somthing there.. I don't think this started happening untill my twinfire crapped out on me... hmmmm. That was some time ago that I took it off and it wasn't till just recently that I noticed the issues. Looks like one more thing to look into. Kick A*S, thanks ts +1 for some good education.

it's not the bov it's the turbo riding the left side of the compressor map and going into surge

Well do to traffic yesterday I wasn't able to test it out, as ego killing as it may be, I'd love to chalk this one up to driver error. and @sid Yup I know the BOV is crap but I need a new suspension befor I even think about putting money out for that, I just moved to Wyoming where the roads are not so Tein S-Tech friendly.

This is a BOV manufacturer telling you its not a competitors BOV, I would be inclined to believe him.

Not sure why it would start surging out of nowhere tho. But stop making it do that, that flutter is putting a huge thrust load on your turbo and it won't last long doing that too it.

if you read my post above it explains why it surges.... if you're not turning the motor a certain rpm with proper load the motor literally chokes and rejects the airflow being pushed into it. it can no longer breath and is choking.

even with my fully built motor mine will start to do it at 30psi in 4th gear. before it started at 24psi, so having the extra mods did help alittle but it still chokes.

the bov might crack slightly as it does this, but its 99% compressor surge. it will not do it if youre in the right RPM area tho. about 5500rpm if i can recall.
